‘K-밴드 레전드’ FT아일랜드가 정규 7집 ‘Serious’로 컴백했다.
정규 7집 ‘Serious’는 FT아일랜드를 둘러싼 고정 관념을 깨부수는 앨범이다. 세상이 정의한 ‘나’에서 벗어나 본연의 ‘나’를 가감 없이 보여주며, 계속해서 나만의 길을 걸어가겠다는 FT아일랜드의 강한 의지를 담았다. 전작 미니 9집 ‘Sage’ 이후 10개월 만의 신보이자, 정규 6집 ‘Where’s the truth?’(2016) 이후 약 8년 만의 정규 앨범이다.
정규 7집 ‘Serious’에는 더블 타이틀곡 ‘BURN IT’, ‘Serious’ 포함 총 10곡이 수록돼 있다. FT아일랜드가 전곡 작사, 작곡에 참여해 팀 정체성을 더욱 강화했다. 더블 타이틀곡 중 하나인 ‘BURN IT’은 불가능해 보이는 것들을 뛰어넘어 새로운 시작을 모색하는 이들을 위한 노래다. 심플하게 반복되는 베이스 리프와 멤버들의 강렬한 보이스가 돋보이며, 그 뒤를 잇는 나른한 분위기의 코러스 멜로디는 귀에 계속해서 맴도는 중독성을 가지고 있다. 정규 7집 발매 전 선공개돼 뜨거운 관심을 받았다.
